In August 2009 Apple released Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, today they released a developer preview of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, apparently this OS brings some features from the iPad to the Mac along with a lot of new features.
According to Apple’s press info the iPad has been a huge influence in the development of Lion, new features include Mission Control, Launchpad, full-screen apps and support for new multi-touch gestures, also the recently launched Mac App Store comes with Lion as standard.
Obviously features like full-screen apps and new multi-touch gesture support are self-explanatory, however Mission Control and Launchpad are a bit less-obvious, however we can confirm that Mission Control shows you an innovative view of what’s running on your Mac, whilst Launchpad is a front-end for all of your Mac apps.
